In 2023, Dominic says he had a vision of a woman he believes was the Virgin Mary, who told him everything would be OK. A subsequent scan showed the mass had begun to shrink, and surgery was no longer considered necessary. His mother believes God healed him. Medication may have contributed to the improvement.
