In Paris, Pope Leo XIV received Sister Marie-Reine, a French nun and researcher at the French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusalem. On April 28, she was violently attacked in Jerusalem by Yona Schreiber, 36, a resident of an Israeli settlement in the West Bank. Prosecutors said she was targeted out of religious hostility.
