Serbia's Giant Cross Is Inspiring the World Again | Shalom World News At the entrance to the Serbian city of Kragujevac, every road seems to lead to the Cross. Rising 18 meters into the sky, the St. George's Day Cross (Đurđevdanski Krst) has stood for more than 15 years as a powerful reminder that Christ remains at the heart of a nation shaped by faith. Designed by Serbian sculptor Zoran Ilić and consecrated in 2010 by the Serbian Orthodox Church, the monument bears a striking six-meter relief of Christ's Crucifixion on one side and an image of St. George on the other. This year, the Cross was lovingly restored after the Eparchy of Šumadija initiated conservation work to preserve one of Serbia's most recognizable Christian landmarks. The restoration included cleaning the monument, repairing damaged sculptural elements, renewing the gilded halos and protecting it for generations to come. For the people of Kragujevac, this is more than a monument. It is part of everyday life. Locals simply …More
$10 Diesel Is Here: The "Off Switch" for Civilization? The era of cheap energy and abundant food is being "turned off" piece by piece, and the latest lever being pulled is the global diesel supply. From Los Angeles gas stations hitting $8 a gallon to farmers paying $10,000 just to fill their tanks for harvest, the "Diesel debacle" has arrived. As refineries across the globe go offline and major exporters shut their borders, we are entering a "perfect storm" that could mirror the collapse of the Roman Empire. This isn't just about the price at the pump; it’s about the 20-30% of global crops that may never make it to your table.

Prevost’s gay "inclusion" is nothing other than his open rebellion against God and the Church. In his rebellion against God, he has backed sodomite priests and unrepentant sodomite pagans—such as his chef and his tailor—leading them to commit the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Prevost blasphemes against God to His very face. Prevost is clearly sending the message that he defies God and the Church, and useful idiots support him in his rebellion against God.
Romans 1:32 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition 9 Know you not that the unjust shall not possess the kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, 10 Nor the effeminate, nor liers with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor railers, nor extortioners, shall possess the kingdom of God.
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 16,24-28. Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? Or what can one give in exchange for his life? For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father's glory, and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct." Amen, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."

Pope Leo XIV’s face featured on new set of … Pope Leo XIV’s image features for the first time in a new set of commemorative euro coins for Vatican City. As announced by the Vatican City State Governorate on July 30, these coins are part of a new Vatican euro collector coin set honoring the new pontificate. This also marks the first time since 2014 that the papal image has appeared on the coins, following Pope Francis’ personal request that his face not be used. Except for the 5-euro coin, the Vatican coins can be used to buy things in the 21 European Union member states that have adopted the euro as their common currency. A unique design in the history of Vatican coin-making Although these new coins with Leo are not the first to feature the pope’s face, they are part of an entirely unique design. Leo’s coat of arms appears on the 1-cent, 2-cent, and 5-cent euro coins, while his face appears on the larger denominations. The pope’s image has appeared on minted coins since the Middle Ages …More
The Rupnik case: 22 previously undisclosed letters from women who belonged to the Slovenian Loyola Community and described alleged abuse by the famed mosaic artist are part of the records of alleged abuse.
Twenty-two previously undisclosed letters by members of the former Loyola Community in Slovenia have been included in the Vatican's ongoing canonical criminal trial, according to OSVNews.com (August 6). The letters were written during Easter 2000 after the community's superior, Sister Ivanka Hosta, asked the 40 sisters to write directly to Rupnik about their relationship with him as part of the Jubilee Year. The sisters were instructed to describe what had happened and to offer forgiveness in a process of reconciliation. Twenty-two of the letters describe psychological, spiritual or sexual abuse. The letters are held in the archives of the Loyola Community, now in the custody of the Archdiocese of Ljubljana. Their full contents have not been made public. According to OSVNews, the letters describe alleged manipulation, coercion, abuse of authority, and physical and sexual assaults. Several sisters said Fr Rupnik used spiritual direction and religious language to pressure them into acts …More
However, it is also possible that the lack of a response is a matter of personnel connected with the basilica. There is growing speculation that Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, Archpriest of Saint Peter’s Basilica, is due to be replaced soon. Rumors in Rome indicate that Gambetti’s replacement might be Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Cardinal Rolandas Makrickas, or Bishop Guido Marini, who are all thought to be friendlier to the TLM than Gambetti. It is possible that a forthcoming transition in archpriest could be delaying a response about the celebration of a TLM in the basilica Therefore, silence should not be understood as rejection — at least not yet. Several Vatican sources told The Pillar the decision to allow the Mass last year happened after Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke asked the pope in an Aug. 22 audience to allow the Mass to be celebrated there...

Leo XIV will wear liturgical vestments by his homosexual tailor Filippo Sorcinelli, 51, during the celebrations today in Assisi and on 22 August in Rimini. Sorcinelli said this in an interview with Corriere.it on 2 August. The Assisi vestments draw inspiration from 13th- and 14th-century paintings of the Porziuncola, while the Rimini vestments, created for a Eucharist by the sea, feature porthole motifs symbolizing water as the source of life. Sorcinelli says every papal vestment is designed specifically for the place and liturgy in which it will be used. He first met the future pope when he was still a cardinal, fitting him with a mitre presented by Augustinian confreres from Vienna. Sorcinelli says he later saw the same mitre reappear after Prevost's election as pope. Leo XIV's election helped Sorcinelli overcome a deep existential crisis. After more than a decade designing vestments for Pope Francis, Sorcinelli had considered leaving liturgical design to focus on organ music and his …More
