Bishop Gerard de Korte of’s-Hertogenbosch has responded critically to the open letter against the failed synodal project by his auxiliary bishop Rob Mutsaerts. Monsignor Mutsaerts did not consult him about this lengthy open letter, Bishop De Korte told Nd.nl on August 14. For him “a personal letter to the pope would have been the proper course of action, if Mutsaerts truly does not wish to sow division, as he writes”. Bishop de Korte added: “After all, a bishop or auxiliary bishop has his own means of communicating with the Bishop of Rome”. And: “In any case, at the request of Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIV, the Dutch bishops will continue building a synodal Church. On Friday, October 16, the bishops and Dutch religious orders will organize a national day of inspiration on synodality, at the St. John’s Centre in ’s-Hertogenbosch.” In 2020, because of differences with the liberal Bishop de Korte, Monsignor Mutsaerts stepped down from virtually all of his administrative duties in the …More
Bishop Mutsaerts says the obvious. All the other bishops in the Netherlands (and the Conference of Religious) share in the Church’s mysterious blindness. Thank God for Bishop Mutsaerts!
First Letter to the Corinthians 15,20-27. Brothers and sisters: Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a human being, the resurrection of the dead came also through a human being. For just as in Adam all die, so too in Christ shall all be brought to life, but each one in proper order: Christ the firstfruits; then, at his coming, those who belong to Christ; then comes the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has destroyed every sovereignty and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death, for "he subjected everything under his feet." shareyourcatholicfaith

A Call from Our God the Fathernxedge.io/…ads/2024/05/2024-03-13-To-My-Faithful-… March 1, 2024 God the Father. To My Faithful Priests. [Given in English.] Write, My daughter, for My faithful Priests – Write for My sons who have kept My Word – My Jesus – as the center of their being; who imitate My Jesus in His Obedience, in His Offering, in His Love and Trust in His Abba. You have clothed yourselves with My Jesus and as such I see you. My sons. My beloved sons. You suffer with My children, you suffer with Me, at seeing the effects of our enemy’s plans and works. My faithful sons, keeping watch – tireless watch over My little ones. How tired you are. How discouraged, My sons. So much work, and nothing seems to be improving. The anguish of feeling so alone and so unheard. Raising your voices to warn, to guide, only to be silenced by those who should be …More
Original Sin, Man’s Greatest Vulnerability, and Divine Order The Fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden reveals enduring truths about human nature, divine order, and spiritual vulnerability. Man’s greatest moral weakness is the voice of women, a vulnerability Satan immediately recognized and exploited. Scripture and the Church Fathers also teach that God established a natural order: men are to lead, and women are to submit and follow. When this order is inverted, sin, disorder, and suffering follow—a principle visible from Eden to biblical history and the New Testament. --- I. Adam and Eve: The Archetype of Male Leadership and Female Submission Genesis 2:18–24 establishes the relational and moral order of creation: > “The Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him… Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” Adam was created first, entrusted with stewardship over …More
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 1,39-56. Mary set out in those days and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, "Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled." And Mary said: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked with favor on his lowly servant; from this day all generations will call me blessed. The Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. He has mercy on those who fear him …More

Priest Remains at Altar as Earthquake Shakes Bogotá Chapel: A priest remained at the altar as an earthquake struck during the Consecration at a Mass in the Roman rite at the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bogotá on August 10. The altar server and congregation also remained in place as the church and hanging lamps shook. The Mass continued throughout the tremor.
This is how the priest and faithful attending the Traditional Latin Mass reacted when an earthquake struck in the midst of the Consecration. The footage was recorded at the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bogotá.
There is a question that has been weighing heavily on my heart, and it is a difficult question to ask: “Are we becoming a Church without God?” Of course, I do not mean that God has abandoned His Church. Jesus Christ promised that the gates of hell would not prevail against her. Nor do I mean that there are not countless faithful Catholics, holy priests, religious, bishops, fathers and mothers who love God deeply and are striving every day to live the Catholic faith. I mean something different. I am asking whether we have gradually constructed a way of thinking about the Church – a way of governing her, speaking about her, worshipping within her, and determining her priorities – that increasingly functions as though the supernatural were no longer the central reality. Because Catholicism is supernatural or it is nothing. Think about the Catholic faith our ancestors knew. They believed in heaven. They believed in hell. They believed in angels and demons. They believed that Satan was real …More

Book of Revelation 11,19a.12,1-6a.10ab. God's temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant could be seen in the temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a violent hailstorm. A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems. Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne. The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God. Then I heard a …More
On August 13, Pope Leo XIV appointed Francesco Cesareo, 67, president emeritus of Assumption University in Worcester, Massachusetts, to the Vatican Committee for Historical Sciences. He was appointed alongside Umberto Longo, who is apparently a Freemason, and Polish historian Anna Barańska. Cesareo is married and the father of three adult children. From 2007 until 2022, he served as president of Assumption University. He left to live closer to his family and first grandchild and now teaches at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Pennsylvania. "LGBTQ-Friendly" University President During Cesareo's presidency, Assumption University recognized the homosexual student organization AU Allies and was listed as “LGBTQ-friendly” by the homosexual group 'New Ways Ministry'. The clearest controversy arose in 2020. Assumption's Campus Ministry circulated the U.S. bishops' document 'Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship'. The document called for protecting marriage as the lifelong union of …More
Navy Carrier’s Problems Are Tied to Attacks on U.S. Base Early in War Diego Garcia, a tiny island 2,200 miles from the Gulf of Oman, took over as the Navy’s logistics hub after Iran damaged a base in Bahrain. nytimes.com/…s-abraham-lincoln-trump-supplies-die… By John Ismay As a naval officer, John Ismay completed a 239-day deployment from 2009 to 2010 aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Nimitz, and deployed to Diego Garcia briefly in early 2002 after the Sept. 11 attacks. Aug. 14, 2026 Updated 6:35 p.m. ETThe aircraft carrier U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln’s supply problems began soon after the first day of the war, as Iranian missiles and attack drones fell on a Navy base in Bahrain. The Iranian attack, retaliation for the U.S.-Israeli assault on Tehran, destroyed much of the base. And as it went up in smoke, so did a major logistics hub that the Navy has relied on for decades. The Navy needed a Plan B to continue feeding the sailors working around the clock to keep warplanes flying strike …More
