Cardinal Cupich: "Novus Ordo Was Correction of Obscured Roman Rite Liturgy"
In a manipulative pamphlet published on ChicagoCatholic.com on 3 September, the anti-Catholic Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago praised the failed liturgical revolution after Vatican II, while attacking the Roman rite. Quotes.
- "I am convinced that the bishops approached the reform of the liturgy as an exercise in taking responsibility for the correct development of church teaching as manifest in the way we worship."
- "The reform was a recovery of truths of the faith, which over time were obscured by a series of adaptations and influences that reflected the church’s expanding relationship with secular power and society."
- "Particularly prominent during the Carolingian (seventh to ninth centuries) and baroque (17th to 18th centuries) periods, many adaptations were inserted in the liturgy that incorporated elements from imperial and royal courts, transforming the liturgy’s aesthetics and meaning."
- "These reforms were a direct response to the centuries of development that erroneously …More

Apostate gay priests hate the Tridentine Mass because it evokes and reminds them of a moral theology they despise.
“Destroy the Mass and you destroy the Church.”— Heresiarch Martin Luther
"The devil has always attempted, by means of the heretics, to deprive the world of the Mass, making them precursors of the Anti-Christ, who, before anything else, will try to abolish and will actually abolish the Holy Sacrament of the altar, as a punishment for the sins of men, according to the prediction of Daniel,' And strength was given him against the continual sacrifice' (Daniel 8:12)." St. Alphonsus Liguori, Doctor of the Church. (1696-1787)
"Innovation is the dying faith of the living; over-innovation is the dying faith of the dead."
Cardinal Cupich on the Latin Mass writes: “Tradition is the living faith of the dead, traditionalism is the dead faith of the living.” He adds Vatican II liturgy changes “were a direct response to the centuries of development that erroneously had transformed the Mass from a communal event into a more clerical, complex & dramatic spectacle.”
How common is the belief among the hierarchy that the worship of the True God has essentially been corrupted for 1400 years, and needed Vatican II to fix.
I used to live in Chicago. I can vouch for the fact that this guy has no reflection in a mirror.
Cupich loves the Novus Ordo because he knows that it's the best means for destroying the Catholic Church.
Mocked the Mass as having descended into "spectacle." Meanwhile, this is what a Mass at St Sabine's in Chicago:
It is difficult to fathom how such a heredical idiot is permitted to speak on behalf of the Catholic Church, no matter, that he wears a Cardinal's hat. Here's one 'hinge' who has undeniably proven he is unhinged. If Prevost doesn't address it, the case against him as a pope worth heeding is a 'fait accompli'.
And this is the canine clown whose duty it is to guide and protect as Shepherd the souls of over 2 million Catholic Faithful in the Archdiocese of Chicago? Clearly a case of the fox ruling the hen house. May God help them...may He help us all.
Why is anyone surprised here? The pack of Bergoglian wolves that run Vatican are consistent in their destruction of Church and Faith. The only surprise are those like Burke.
Cardinal Cupich clearly and honestly explains what the Novus Ordo hierarchy believes about the traditional faith and the new Mass, as he (blasphemously) ascribes errors to the Church of the past. If one expects Leo XIV to be different, one will be very disappointed.
Yet, the damage he and all the bergoglians have done is monumental(and it will continue). He can walk away with a nice retirement fund like the one the previous bishop of Washington had. Make no mistake, Prevost IS a bergoglian, nothing will change, so our only option is to remain catholic, denounce their lies and resist. Francis part 2 will hail this st. gallen mafia foot soldier like his predecessor did.
Viganó: "Abbé Barthe’s denunciation reveals not a paradox, but the paradox, the contradiction that fundamentally undermines any claim to orthodoxy on the part of self-styled conservatives: the acceptance of the revolutionary principles of the so-called “synodal church” as the (incomplete, moreover) counterpart to being tolerated by it. In reality, this exchange is far from equal. The “synodal church” merely applies to conservatives the same legitimacy of existence it grants to any other “movement” or “charisma” present in the multifaceted ecclesial fabric, but it carefully avoids acknowledging that their demands might go beyond a mere aesthetic and ceremonial concession. The unwritten contract between conservatives and the post-Bergoglian Hierarchy stipulates that the “liturgical preferences” of a group of clerics and faithful can be tolerated if and only if they refrain from highlighting the heterogeneity, incompatibility, and alienation between the ecclesiology and the entire doctrinal framework underlying the Vetus Ordo and those expressed in the reformed Montinian rite."
“If tradition is truly living, there is newness which sheds greater light on the past and brings it into the future.” —Cardinal Francis E. George, O.M.I.
Cupich is 76. I hope Leo will accept his resignation
Like that will solve anything. Should we also wait for Kissie Fernandez to turn 76?
The stupidity of this text is hard to fathom - he states that the liturgy of the church was deformed and was merely a spectacle from 800 to 1965
For Cupich, ex-communicable offenses, Council of Trent:
If any one saith, that the ceremonies, vestments, and outward signs, which the Catholic Church makes use of in the celebration of masses, are incentives to impiety, rather than offices of piety; let him be anathema.
For Martin, ex-communicable offenses, Council of Trent:
If any one saith, that the rite of the Roman Church, according to which a part of the canon and the words of consecration are pronounced in a low tone, is to be condemned; or, that the mass ought to be celebrated in the vulgar tongue only; or, that water ought not to be mixed with the wine that is to be offered in the chalice, for that it is contrary to the institution of Christ; let him be anathema.
The "obscurity" lives only in his body and mind! He never should have become a 'priest' of the CATHOLIC CHURCH...and all the rest like him!
