Oh, but but,... all the novus ordo clergy don't need Latin at all. What do they need Latin for? Plus, even the demons hate the sacred Latin of the Church—especially its prayers, Gregorian chant, and above all the solemn rite of exorcism.

The American Way of Violence: Mike McIntire on Guns, Greed, and a Daily Trickle of Bloodshed. “You didn’t have to look someone in the eye while you extinguished their life, and you could do it from a distance.” — Mike McIntire on what the gun changed Is there an American way of violence? Earlier this month, the film critic David Thomson blamed gory Hollywood movies, like Coppola’s Godfather, for glorifying it. Today’s guest has an even more brutal answer. According to Mike McIntire, the three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times investigative journalist, it’s the gun itself that can be blamed for the perpetual American plague of violence. Yes, the gun did it. In his new book Ricochet: Guns, Greed, and the American Way of Violence, McIntire observes that every developed country has violent movies, violent video games, and significant mental illness. But what no other country has are schoolchildren, grocery shoppers, and churchgoers massacred on a regular basis. Up to forty thousand …More
Seven years after his death, the Capuchin bishop Juan Rodolfo Laise still lacks a proper grave inscription in the Capuchin cemetery of San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy. Bishop Laise became internationally known for defending the practice of receiving Holy Communion on the tongue. During debates within the Argentine Episcopal Conference in 1996 over the introduction of Communion in the hand, he chose not to implement the indult in his diocese, maintaining that receiving Communion on the tongue remained the universal norm of the Church. After retiring, he settled in San Giovanni Rotondo, where he spent his final years serving as a confessor. Although a marble slab was placed over his grave at the time of his burial in 2019, it still bears only the temporary paper funeral notice affixed on the day of his funeral. No permanent inscription has ever been added. The case has attracted renewed attention following an investigation by Italian journalist Simone Ortolani, as reported by Messa in Latino. …More

The Russian Orthodox Church has revoked its June decision assigning its former foreign affairs chief to two Russian Orthodox parishes in southern Brazil. Instead, Patriarch Kirill has assigned Hilarion, 60, to the Exaltation of the Cross Monastery near Moscow. The latest reassignment comes after a series of controversies involving the once-powerful church diplomat. In May, Czech police detained Hilarion in Karlovy Vary after searching his car and finding four containers containing a white powder. Czech authorities later identified the substance as cocaine. Hilarion was released without charges after two days, while the investigation remains ongoing. He denies any involvement and says he was the victim of a provocation. Hilarion had already been removed as Metropolitan of Budapest and Hungary in 2024 after a former male assistant accused him of homosexual misconduct and financial impropriety. The allegations were accompanied by claims that Hilarion lived a lavish lifestyle and accumulated …More
Cardinal Raymond Burke called on Catholics to defend marriage and the family "even to the point of martyrdom" during a homily in Wisconsin. He distinguished between "red martyrdom" (dying for the faith) and "white martyrdom" (enduring ridicule, indifference, or persecution while remaining faithful).
These statements come ahead of a Vatican consultation, convened by Pope Leo XIV from October 7–14, with presidents of bishops' conferences worldwide to reflect on the implementation of Amoris laetitia ten years after its publication. The Vatican has clarified that the gathering is not a synod but a consultative meeting focused on how to proclaim the Gospel to families in today's world.

AUGUST 2026 - Pope Leo reminds all catholics and non-catholics the teachings and stand of the Catholic Church in regards to same sex and irregular unities (people divorced but married by the church and married again by civil law) and clearly states that the Catholic Church will always follow the teachings of our Lord Jesus which does not allow the sin of sodomy, fornication or adultery. Not said this way but he is very clear that this is simply not catholic teachings and indirectly mentions that Pope Francis made mistakes and said things that should not be misinterpreted to justify sin.
