AI slop? Tucho’s Easter candle is placed “on the altar”. In §140 of his new document 'Venite ad Me', Cardinal Víctor "Tucho" Fernández, soft-porn author and Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, describes the paschal candle being placed “on the altar” during the Easter Vigil. This is not an English translation error. The Italian text says “collocazione sull’altare” - “placement on the altar.” The passage uses the Easter Vigil as an image of hope of how the faith is transmitted: “It is the image of the lighting of the paschal candle and its placement on the altar, following the procession through the nave of the church, during the solemn Easter Vigil in the Latin Rite.” As is well known, during the Easter Vigil, the paschal candle is placed on a stand beside the ambo or in the middle of the sanctuary - not on the altar itself. The discrepancy comes down to a preposition: “on” rather than “beside.” It may simply reflect very imprecise wording in a passage that is not …Zvimwe
One of Goebbels moments of this document is proclaiming/promoting active participation and inculturation like in Novus Ordo and all these new, fabricated Zairian, Mayan, Amazon, Aztec rites and just after to show the beauty of the liturgy - quoting the relation describing the one rite persecuted with utmost hatred by the Postconciliar-synodal church i.e. the Roman Rite - Holy Week 1929 in Sicily (93)
22.10.2026 VATICAN COUNCIL II SUPPORTS THE TRADITIONALISTS : REUTERS APOLOGY NEEDED When LG 8, 14, 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc in Vatican Council II refer to hypothetical and invisible cases in 2026 and Ad Gentes 7 is aligned with the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) of the Council of Florence 1442 and also the Athanasius Creed, then Vatican Council II supports the traditionalists and not Pope Leo XIV. Reuters needs to correct its reports on Vatican Council II. We cannot meet or see anyone saved in invincible ignorance(LG 16) or the baptism of desire (LG 14). If anyone is saved as such it can only be known to God. These are theoretical cases for us humans. Theoretical cases are not practical exceptions for the dogma EENS or the Athanasius Creed or an ecumenism of return to the Catholic Church of the Syllabus of Pope Pius IX. When LG 8, 14, 16 etc refer to theoretical cases then Vatican Council II is traditional with Ad Gentes 7 placed in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, …Zvimwe
Still Chasing His Yalta. Here’s What He Doesn’t Get. nytimes.com/…/10/22/opinion/trump-ukraine-russia-… Oct. 22, 2026 By Michael Kimmage Mr. Kimmage, a historian of the Cold War, is an expert on U.S.-Russian relations. In February 1945, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin met at the Crimean city of Yalta to lay out the shape of postwar Europe. Yalta is typically used as a metaphor for appeasement or cynical realpolitik, and it is both. But it is also a metaphor for consequential diplomacy. The agreements made presaged a Europe separated into different zones, a state of affairs that lasted until the Central and Eastern European revolutions of 1989. President Trump has been searching for his Yalta in the war in Ukraine since the start of his second term. It’s easy to see why: It could be an appealingly simple, Trumpian transaction, in which the leaders of great powers sit down and determine a course, while minor powers must take what they are given. Like F.D.R., Mr …Zvimwe
The Interview She’s Been to Gaza. She Met With the Iranians. Now She Has a Warning. nytimes.com/…26/10/10/magazine/mirjana-spoljaric-… By Lulu Garcia-Navarro Oct. 10, 2026 Are we already in the middle of a new world war without realizing it? That’s the provocative question I wanted to explore when I sat down with someone in the rare position to know: Mirjana Spoljaric, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross. The I.C.R.C. is a secretive organization that is not well known outside war zones. Unlike the American Red Cross, which deals with blood drives and American disaster relief, the I.C.R.C. is the independent and neutral guardian of the Geneva Conventions, a series of international agreements created in the wake of World War II that laid out the rules of war. In her role, Spoljaric travels to all sides of active war zones — Gaza, Ukraine, Iran — meeting with the heads of governments and armed groups alike. She rarely gives interviews because of the politically fraught …Zvimwe
Tucho’s new document contradicts John Paul II. Today, the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, headed by the soft-porn author and Cardinal Víctor “Tucho” Fernández, has published Venite ad Me (“Come to Me”), a document on transmitting the Catholic faith. He disclaims “terminological precision and systematic treatment,” instead adopting a more discursive approach. Tucho creates a contrast between faith and its doctrinal formulations. Paragraph 29 of the document states: “The faith is not transmitted primarily as a body of doctrinal content or religious information, but as a form of ecclesial life into which the believer is gradually introduced.” Tucho’s document uses a “not primarily X, but Y” construction, whereas John Paul II explicitly warns against opposing doctrinal instruction and Christian life. In his 1979 apostolic exhortation 'Catechesi Tradendae', the pope wrote that "no opposition is to be set up between a catechesis taking life as its point of departure and a …Zvimwe

The Church knew in the 1950s that Abbé Pierre was a “seriously sick man”. For decades, Abbé Pierre was revered as France's champion of the poor. But behind his public image as a celebrated humanitarian, Church leaders knew of serious psychiatric problems and allegations of sexual abuse. Historians Axelle Brodiez-Dolino and Bruno Dumons examined Church archives for a new book. In an interview with La Croix (October 17), Brodiez-Dolino discussed their findings. She states that Abbé Pierre was bipolar, while stressing that this does not explain his sexual misconduct. His childhood was marked by unwanted sexual touching by older boys, attraction to boys during adolescence, and a family scandal involving his aunt’s conviction for murdering her husband. In 1955, reports of sexual touching of women during a US visit reached Rome. The Vatican investigated Abbé Pierre over sexual misconduct and also financial irregularities, but imposed only mild sanctions in 1957. Brodiez-Dolino concludes from …Zvimwe

It's a test of faith to those who attend this mass. Will they return to the putrid Novus Ordo of travel to the mass that glorifies God , no matter where it may be.?
Sentimental secular music performed at the altar of St. Peter’s Basilica. On October 20, Italian singer Gianni Morandi, 81, performed two secular songs in St Peter's Basilica, during the event 'Lectio Petri'. The songs were “C'era un ragazzo che come me amava i Beatles e i Rolling Stones” (1966), an anti-war song, and “Un mondo d'amore” (1967), celebrating love and hope.

For Vatican justice, already under severe scrutiny for the way the major trial was conducted, a new front is opening: that of the transparency of investigations and the guarantees afforded to the defendants. This is a matter likely to weigh on the pontificate of Leo XIV, who is called to deal with the judicial legacy of one of the most controversial proceedings in recent years.
Jewish settlers’ attacks on Palestinians are not isolated incidents, and despite condemnations by Israeli officials, the violence continues, fueled by persistent impunity for perpetrators. The Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in Jerusalem issued a joint statement following the October 17 settler attack on the Christian village of Taybeh. They insist the attack was not an isolated incident, but part of a wider pattern of settler violence against Palestinian villages across the West Bank, escalating during the olive harvest. The Church leaders acknowledge that Israeli President Isaac Herzog condemned the violence and that Israeli police made arrests. However, they warn that settler attacks continue because perpetrators enjoy impunity, raising serious concerns about the effectiveness of Israeli law enforcement. Finally, they condemn a recently published religious ruling permitting Jews to take Palestinians' olives, calling it "very worrying and dangerous, and absolutely unacceptable." The …Zvimwe
