On Holy Thursday, Cardinal Luis José Rueda Aparicio of Bogotá, Colombia, washed the feet of homosexual prostitutes (“transgender sex workers”). This act mirrors similar gestures made by Pope Francis.

Catholic during the Great Apostasy

Let us look at this, behold, the image before us, this cross, bloodstained with the Most Holy Blood, the cross to which they nail our Saviour mercilessly!Let us close our ears, for behold, we seem to hear the hammering of the hammer, the sound of the nails, and the silent groaning, and the violent thumping of the heart of Jesus; behold, they have pierced those blessed hands which have brought so many blessings into the world, which have raised themselves for us in constant prayer to heaven, at every miracle, at every grace, those almighty hands which, having created the whole world, have blessed the world; Here they pierced with nails those sacred feet, untiring in their work for the earth, feet that bled constantly during their lifetime in the merciful pursuit of sinners; here they pierced the sacred side and the loving heart, our only refuge from the angry God!
Behold, already the cross is lifted up in the sight of the whole world; and from that cross flows blood abundantly!… Ah!let …barrachd

The seven words of the Church of Christ

“Who will give my eyes a source of tears
and I shall weep day and night?”
.Jerem. IX. 1.
These are the words of Jeremiah the prophet, weeping over the anger of the unbelieving people, who in vain admonished them, telling them of God’s future punishments. And we, my brothers, weeping over the Passion of our Lord, may we cry in the same words, remembering that not all enjoy this divine grace, disregarding the death of God’s Son and his sufferings, over which nothing is dearer, nothing greater.
Jeremiah the prophet wept over the insensitivity and hard-heartedness of the people, and let us also weep over our own insensitivity and the hard-heartedness of sinners who either turn their eyes away from Christ’s cross or, looking at it, walk away without learning anything, cold and indifferent, without letting out a single sigh or shedding a single tear over their sins.
If the loss of our dearest loved one inflicts a grievous and painful wound on our heart, and tears flow copiously and we are …

The Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem
The Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem or Basilica di Santa Croce in Gerusalemme (Latin: Basilica Sanctae Crucis in Hierusalem) is a Catholic minor basilica and titular church in the rione of Esquilino, Rome, Italy. It is one of the Seven Pilgrim Churches of Rome.
According to Christian tradition, the basilica was consecrated circa 325 to house the relics of the Passion of Jesus Christ brought to Rome from the Holy Land by Empress Helena, mother of Roman Emperor Constantine I. The basilica's floor was supposed to be covered with a handful of soil from Jerusalem, thus acquiring the title in Hierusalem; it is not dedicated to the Holy Cross of Jerusalem, but is considered in a sense to be in Jerusalem (much in the way that an embassy is considered extraterritorial). Between 1561 and 2011 it was the conventual church of an adjacent and now dissolved abbey of Cistercian monks whose aesthetic simplicity greatly influenced …barrachd

Final Charge Against David Daleiden Dismissed, Ending Decade-Long Case

The final criminal case against the Catholic pro-life investigator David Daleiden has been dismissed. This ends a nearly decade-long legal battle stemming from his undercover investigation into the abortion industry.
Daleiden released in 2015 a series of undercover videos showing that officials connected to Planned Parenthood Federation of America sold body parts and fetal tissue of aborted babies.
In 2016, the office of then–California Attorney General Kamala Harris (2011-2017) prosecuted Daleiden and his colleague Sandra Merritt related to illegal recording (invasion of privacy).
She did not prosecute Planned Parenthood.
Over time, more than half of the charges were dismissed by a judge.
Instead of going to trial on the remaining charges, David Daleiden agreed in 2025 to the deal “no contest” (nolo contendere) . It allows a defendant to resolve a criminal case without admitting guilt while accepting the court’s judgment. The agreement included no jail time, fines, or probation, …barrachd

The dawn of a new creation...
Sunday, April 5 - Easter 2026
Dear brothers and sisters, Pope Francis has repeatedly reminded us that the Resurrection of Jesus is not a myth, a fantasy, a mirage, a magic formula that makes problems vanish; it is not the happy ending of a beautiful fairy tale, nor the happy ending of a movie; it is a historical event that truly occurred. A fact, a simple fact that occurred in the lives of some people. Christianity was born from here. It is not an ideology, it is not a philosophical system, but a journey of faith that begins with an event, witnessed by Jesus' first disciples. Saint Paul summarizes it this way: Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and on the third day he rose again and appeared to Peter and the Twelve (see 1 Cor 15:3-5). This is the fact: he died, he was buried, he was resurrected, in his true glorified body, and he appeared. That is, Jesus is alive! This is the core of the Christian message. This is the good news that the Church has been …barrachd

NOTE: The footnotes are not dictated by God. They are added by Sister. Sometimes the footnote is to help clarify for the reader Sister’s sense of the meaning of a certain word or idea, and at other times to better convey the sense of God’s tone when He spoke.
Further Note from Sister: In these Messages, the use of all caps is a way to denote the importance that is being given to particular words or passages. It does not indicate anger or shouting, but rather “listen children, this is important.” I was surprised at how much He used this “tone” in this writing.

Catholic Bible Study, Exodus 14-15: The Book of Exodus, The Pillar of Fire, Fr. Tim Peters
Book of Exodus 14,15-31.15,1a.
The LORD said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to go forward.
And you, lift up your staff and, with hand outstretched over the sea, split the sea in two, that the Israelites may pass through it on dry land.
But I will make the Egyptians so obstinate that they will go in after them. Then I will receive glory through Pharaoh and all his army, his chariots and charioteers.
The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I receive glory through Pharaoh and his chariots and charioteers."
The angel of God, who had been leading Israel's camp, now moved and went around behind them. The column of cloud also, leaving the front, took up its place behind them,
so that it came between the camp of the Egyptians and that of Israel. But the cloud now became dark, and thus the night passed without the rival camps coming any closer together all night long. …

Leo XIV’s Way of the Cross: Reflections on Social Injustice - Migration, Economy, and Politics

Franciscan Father Francesco Patton wrote the meditations for tonight's Stations of the Cross at the Colosseum in Rome with Pope Leo XIV. Fr Patton served as Custos of the Holy Land from 2016 to 2025.
On April 1, he told VaticanNews.va that the inspiration comes from "current reality" and that the meditations are meant to inspire political "change".
The Vatican press office published the text today. Traditionally a penitential and contemplative devotion, the Via Crucis is repurposed here as a vehicle for contemporary socio-political reflection.
The text shifts from the Passion of Christ to war, refugees, human trafficking, surveillance, deportation, the media, the economy, prisons, hostages, and crackdowns on protests. Notably absent, however, are abortion, euthanasia, and gender ideology.
One acclamation reads: "For migrants, the displaced, and refugees: Comfort us, O Mother."
In the first station, the meditation talks about political and economic power "to start or end a war… the power …barrachd

Introduction

The Way of the Cross winds through the narrow streets in the Old City of Jerusalem, allowing us to retrace Jesus’ path from the place of his condemnation to that of his crucifixion and burial, which is also the site of his resurrection.
This route is not reserved for the devout or those seeking a quiet space for prayer. Rather, as in the time of Jesus, we find ourselves walking through a chaotic, distracting and noisy environment, surrounded by people who share our faith in him, but also by those who deride or insult him. Such is the reality of our daily life.
The Way of the Cross is not intended for those who lead a pristinely pious or abstractly recollected life. Instead, it is the exercise of one who knows that faith, hope and charity must be incarnated in the real world, where the believer faces ongoing challenges and must …

The East is calling on Putin for help. Not trump!

First remember, it was trump who called Putin 3 weeks ago for help out of the mess he made. Yet didn't listen to him. Now they are turning to Putin to help end this madness that trump and bibi made.
Unfortunately, not even Putin can stop this. That is not what GOD wants. That is not His Will for peace. Not our time.

Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion: 'Jesus …
Pope Leo XIV presided over the liturgy of the Passion and Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ in St. Peter’s Basilica on Good Friday afternoon. Good Friday is the only day of the year on which Holy Mass is not celebrated.
The Church celebrates the Solemn Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord, consisting of three parts: the Liturgy of the Word, culminating in the chanting of the Passion according to St. John; the Adoration of the Cross; and reception of Holy Communion.
After the proclamation of the Passion, the Preacher of the Pontifical Household, Fr. Roberto Pasolini, OFM Cap, delivered the homily.
Jesus allowed Himself to be guided to the greatest love
Fr. Pasolini began by reminding that on this holy day the liturgy invites us to contemplate the Passion of the Lord, warning that the Cross of Christ risks remaining incomprehensible if we view it as an isolated fact, as a sudden and inexplicable event, but rather is the highest point of a journey.
