Cardinal Willem Eijk of Utrecht celebrated his first public Mass in the Roman rite on Sunday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception (known as the Grote Kerk) in Oss, the Netherlands. In his homily (video below), he spoke about the Gospel of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Cardinal Eijk recounted an example from the 1950s in the Netherlands. A priest teaching religion at a Catholic school told students that the multiplication of the loaves should not be taken literally, since such a miracle would be impossible. Instead, he explained it as a moral story: people shared the food they already had because they were inspired by Jesus’ preaching about love. Eijk added that this kind of denial destroyed the faith of many Catholics. He recalled that in the 1950s and 1960s the once-strong Church in the Netherlands collapsed, identifying one of the causes as poor preaching by clergy who themselves undermined belief. According to him, the faith of once-convinced Catholics was “…More
"The miraculous multiplication of the loaves was indeed performed by Jesus. (...) God created the universe ex nihilo. If He possessed the power to achieve that, then He is surely capable of multiplying bread in a miraculous manner" (Willem Jacobus Cardinal Eijk)

The author also includes in this bloc the mainstream apologetics outlet Catholic Answers, as …
Let's put the X rant from Insurrection Barbie in perspective. Globalism was succeeding in changing the Western culture towards a Cultural Marxist culture. Cultural Marxism was inspired by the Frankfurt School. (Look it up to see which religion dominated the idea.) Globalism is not America First. America First is the idea that US interests should be the primary focus of US foreign policy, and not a foreign country. Insurrection Barbie starts by slamming Traditional Catholics. Barbie calls them "integralist Catholicism". Catholics would call them pro-life Catholics that believe in the sanctity of life; a Catholic value. Unfortunately, the Globalists have been losing their grip on the US cultural zeitgeist since the pandemic. One could say that Zionists support the Globalist cause. When the US president attacked Iran, Zionism was blamed. It is certain that the US did not follow US law when starting the war with Iran. Starting the war also went against American values. Nevertheless, war …More
A historic moment in the Netherlands: Pontifical Mass by Cardinal Willem Jacobus Eijk according to the ancient Roman rite In a time when there is often talk of a crisis of identity and memory within Western civilization, there are moments that strongly remind us that the heart of the Catholic Church still beats to the rhythm of its two thousand years of tradition, which we call Tradition. One such extremely important moment in the history of the Church occurred yesterday, on Laetare Sunday, March 15, 2026, in the city of Oss, where His Eminence Willem Jacobus Eijk presided over a solemn Pontifical Mass according to the traditional Roman rite (Vetus Ordo). The liturgical celebration was held in the historic Grote Kerk (Great Church), dedicated to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, and this event represented for many believers a historic moment in contemporary Catholic life in the Netherlands. Namely, this is the first Pontifical Solemn Mass celebrated in this country by a Dutch bishop …More
Novus Ordo priest becomes Novus Ordo Bishop becomes Novus Ordo Cardinel and offers the Tridentine Rite. We are seeing a pattern of Novus Ordo-TLM fusion. The obvious objective is to regularize the false synodal church among those poor unfortunate and stagnant "traditionalists!'

Up until fifteen years or so, I never really heard about this. Marshall Thompson wrote about it in his book. Slowly but surely, it is all coming out in the wash.
Today, Pope Leo XIV received Gareth Gore in audience. Gore is a British financial journalist who has attacked Opus Dei in recent years. Since his election, Leo XIV has met with the leadership of Opus Dei twice to discuss the revision of their statutes. Opus Dei as "Abusive Cult" Gore's most notable book is Opus: The Cult of Dark Money, Human Trafficking and Right-Wing Conspiracy Inside the Catholic Church (2024). He presents a caricature of Opus Dei, claiming that the organisation has built its influence through networks of members in business and finance, including figures linked to Banco Popular Español. He speaks of an "abusive cult". Gore describes a strict internal discipline and secrecy, and alleges that Opus Dei engages in coercive recruitment and exploitation. He invents that some assistants (women who perform domestic work in Opus Dei centres) are victims of human trafficking. The Collapse of Banco Popular However, the collapse of Banco Popular in 2017 is generally explained …More
Aging is not the problem. Pretending you’re not aging is. We spend half our lives trying to look 25. Meanwhile 25 is somewhere praying they make it to 50. Let’s talk about mortality for a minute. Not in a spooky way. In a sober way. Some of us have flatlined. Some of us have been rolled into operating rooms. Some of us have heard doctors say things that made the room go quiet. I have. And when you have stared at the ceiling wondering if you’ll see your kids again, wrinkles stop being offensive. They start being evidence. Evidence that you survived. Aging is proof of breath. Proof of lessons. Proof that you outlived something that tried to outlive you. We treat gray hair like betrayal. We treat laugh lines like they’re intruders. But those lines are receipts. You laughed. You cried. You worried. You loved hard. You stayed when you could’ve left. You left when you finally got strong enough. Mortality has a way of clarifying things. When you know life is finite, you stop asking, “How do …More
