Francis was in good form at the Chrism Mass on 28 March, delivering a 22-minute homily.
As usual, he did not preside at the Eucharist, but sat on the side. He wants all priests to preside exclusively at the Novus Ordo Eucharist, but he himself seems to be fed up with it.
In the homily he spoke of himself: "We must be freed from harshness and recrimination, from selfishness and ambition, from rigidity and frustration, in order to open ourselves completely to God".
He thanked the priests - whom he usually attacks - "for your open and docile hearts", meaning that they should "obey" his arbitrariness.
"Thank you for all your hard work and your tears," he added.

Francis at Chrism Mass: “How greatly we need to be set free from harshness and recrimination, selfishness and ambition, rigidity and frustration, in order to entrust ourselves completely to God, and to find in him the calm that shields us from the storms raging all around us!”

@steack I had more in mind the pointed counsel to all attributed to Francis: "We must be freed from harshness and recrimination, from selfishness and ambition, from rigidity and frustration, in order to open ourselves completely to God" as juxtaposed with the Gospel:
[For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” Matthew 12:36-37]

"But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” Matthew 12:36-37

Francis the Protestant Pope prefers to use his strength to preach The New Gospel rather than fulfill his duty as a Catholic priest.

@Orthocat Francis is an old hippie from the 60s. And so are his cronies! We will have to wait it out and keep praying for a holy pope and strong bishops.
