Internal conflicts within the Compagnia Regina dei Gigli, a religious institution based in Viale Jonio in Rome, ended up in court.
According to media reports, Sister Liliana, 86, the former mother superior, accuses two priests and two nuns of mistreatment, injury, private violence, and the intention to kill her.
In May 2016, the four defendants ordered Liliana to resign. When she refused, they ousted her by force.
Most members of the Institute opposed the move. To submit them, the four mutineers closed the kitchens and even the church. One priest was forced to celebrate open-air masses. The community of nuns survives with snacks from a vending machine.

Does anyone know what type of Catholicism these nuns professed? Were they all N.O.? Half and half? The article doesn't make clear what it was all really about.

It's a Novus Ordo religious Order, they didn't use the TLM. The Order exists mainly in Italy, and the nuns branch has less than 100 members, the priest (male) branch only about 10 !!

Thank you for that information - sounds like internal squabbling then!
