Nemecký biskup: "My, nemeckí biskupi, sme obviňovaní z toho, že už nie sme katolíci"
"Znovu a znovu čítam, že ja a iní biskupi v Nemecku už nie sme katolíci," povedal biskup Peter Kohlgraf z nemeckého Mainzu vo svojej dnešnej kázni na sviatok Nepoškvrneného počatia Panny Márie v Mainzskej katedrále. Zdôraznil, že je to nezmysel.
Biskup Kohlgraf však priznal, že chce nanovo interpretovať, čo dnes znamená byť katolíkom. Chce zaujať otvorený postoj a byť pripravený na dialóg.
Biskup Kohlgraf odmieta definovať katolicizmus ako "nemennú pravdu, ktorú treba hlásať v každom čase, bez ohľadu na aktuálne problémy a vývoj".
Okrem toho odmietol chápanie katolíckej identity, ktorá je definovaná vymedzovaním sa. Byť katolíkom podľa neho neznamená "búšiť do druhých doktrínami a morálnymi učeniami, akoby sme na nich hádzali handru", ale skôr sa snažiť pochopiť druhých a ich skúsenosti.
Verí v ohlasovanie, ktoré je dialogické a berie do úvahy "reálne životné situácie", ktorým ľudia čelia.
"Byť katolíkom pre mňa znamená počítať aj s možnosťou, že sa môžem mýliť," správne uzavrel Kohlgraf.
