In Chapter 7 verse 19 of the book of Mark, it says in parenthesis, “In saying this, Jesus declared that all foods are fit to be eaten.” However, Matthew recorded the same parable in Chapter 15 verses 1 threw 20 and he did not come to the same conclusion. So maybe we’re misunderstanding Mark’s conclusion.

To further prove Mark’s conclusion appears to be misunderstood, you have to go to Acts Chapter 10 verse 14 which takes place after Christ rose from the dead. In other words, it took place after Christ taught the parable talked about above.

In Acts Chapter 10 Verse 14, Peter is responding to a request that he eat UNCLEAN (forbidden) FOODS. His response was, “Certainly not Lord! I have never eaten anything unclean or defiled.” Peter is not talking about food that wasn’t washed properly. He’s talking about eating the forbidden foods. Peter’s response proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Peter still believes and follows the laws from GOD re-guarding forbidden (unclean) foods. So Mark’s conclusion about eating unclean food is inconsistent with Peter’s belief and Matthew Gospel.

So what was Christ talking about in Matthew and Mark’s Gospel writings? Well, he was not talking about physically clean and unclean but rather being spiritually clean and unclean. Christ was saying nothing you eat will make you spiritually unclean but what comes from your mouth can tell the world that you’re spiritually unclean. So he’s saying if you eat the forbidden foods it won’t make you spiritually unclean (it’s not a sin) but it will take a toll on your long-term physical health and well-being. In other words, you’re going to pay for it in this life but you’ll probably never trace your physical problems back to your consumption of unclean foods.

In Mark Chapter 7 verses 18-19 Christ went on to say, “Nothing that goes into a person from the outside can really make him unclean, because it does not go into the heart but into the stomach and then goes out of the body.” Matthew says something very similar in Chapter 15 verse 17. Christ said nothing you eat goes into the heart but it does travel through the blood stream and those particles can cause problems in our circulator system including the heart by restricting blood and oxygen flow.

How the food you eat comes out of the body depends on how good the food is for you. The foods on GOD’S forbidden list are more likely to cause stomach aches, diarrhea and other long term ailments because those forbidden sea, air and land animals eat diseased, sick and spoiled foods (they’re scavengers). Some of them don’t even digest their food very well because they process the trash they eat so fast. Thus when you eat those foods, your body suffers the long term consequences from eating the poisons stored in the flesh of the forbidden foods. Those forbidden air, sea and land animals also help to keep our air, sea and land clean and healthy. So the less of them we eat the cleaner and healthier our water, air and land will become. Isn’t it impressive how well planned and balanced the world is thanks to GOD’S design. Too bad we don’t trust, believe and obey HIM. Things didn’t have to be this way and if we don’t change they’re going to continue to get worse.

So what was Christ trying to teach us in that parable concerning things that make a person unclean? To really understand the points Christ was making at the time you have to go back to the beginning of his conversions. In Matthew Chapter 15 verses 1-9 and Mark Chapter 7 verses 1-13 you will notice that the parable Christ taught was in response to complaints from the Pharisees concerning the fact that Christ’s disciples don’t wash their hands and their food from the market before eating it. It had nothing to do with eating forbidden foods. How do we know that? Well as Peter pointed out in Acts Chapter 10 Christ’s disciples don’t eat unclean foods (forbidden foods). So the Pharisees weren’t complaining that Christ’s disciples were eating forbidden (unclean) foods but rather eating with unwashed hands and eating unwashed authorized food from the market.

So I guess Mark is saying eating any authorized foods is okay even if you don’t wash your hands or the authorized foods you purchased from the market. He’s not talking about eating any of the foods on GOD’S forbidden list. However, it’s a good idea to wash hands and your vegetables before you eat in order to remove most of the germs and the pesticides. Otherwise you’ll increase your risk of getting sick from those germs and pesticides.

In closing, I believe we can beat cancer, heart disease, failing eye sight, reduced hearing and a lot of other sicknesses if we follow GOD’S laws and avoid the for bidden foods. Our health improvements will come when we stop eating those poisonous foods (forbidden foods). That reduction in consumption of those forbidden foods will also lead to healthier cleaner air, sea and land as those animals begin to clean up the environmental mess we’ve created. That’s GOD’S plan and you can trust HIM.

However my mother and sister seem to be greatly impacted by the symptons. That leads me to believe that younger humans are usually healthier, have less cold symptons and get over colds quicker. I believe it's because they haven't had a chance to eat as much of the forbidden foods (that pollute their bodies) as older people. So their bodies are better prepared to fight off colds, injuries and infections.

It would be interesting to study the health of Jewish and Islamic people to see how avoiding the forbidden foods all their lives impacts their health. Do they have fewer colds and get over them quicker than those that have eaten the forbidden foods all their lives? I BELIEVE the facts will prove that GOD'S LAWS are written by a being much smarter than our modern day experts and HIS laws were writter thousands of years ago. GOD'S given us more proof that HE exists and HE'S still calling our medicne (intellegence) foolishness. When will we be smart enough to BELIEVE and TRUST HIM to know more than we do about everything? Isn't it funny how children expect their parents to know everything while they're young yet we don't expect GOD OUR FATHER to know everything and HE does but our parents don't?

Ain't GOD GREAT? To bad we had to know why HE gave us the laws before we learned to obey them. Abraham, didn't even know who GOD was or even if there was a GOD but he searched for HIM anyway. Better yet, Abraham was even willing to sacrafice his son as a burnt offerring when GOD asked him to. We got a LONG way to go to have the faith of Abraham but the GOOD NEWS is we can get there by taking one step at a time or as a wise old man keeps telling me. Just put one foot in front of the other and hope they keep following each other and do your best to keep heading in the right direction.
