Through the generosity of Canadians, in March 2007, in Aceh, Indonesia, 3,300 homes were handed over to the people. Working with a local partner UpLink, DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE (www.devp.org) provided crucial support to the people of 23 villages devastated by the tsunami, helping them to regain control over their lives and to design their own futures.
