Hillary Clinton Consoled By Pope Francis' "Tenderness"
An April TED talk given by Pope Francis helped Hillary Clinton move beyond anger following her loss to Donald Trump, Clinton writes in "What Happened", her account of the 2016 Presidential campaign.
In his talk, Francis called for a “revolution of tenderness” saying, "We all need each other, none of us is an island, an autonomous and independent ‘I,’ separated from the other, and we can only build the future by standing together, including everyone.”
Personally, Francis is known for running the Church with an iron fist in a partisan way, often bypassing the advice of his closest collaborators and taking refuge in lone decisions.
